| Cookies for the Troops |
 Thank you to everyone who baked,sealed, boxed up cookies, and donated money. The troops wouldn't have anything if it wasn't for you. We were able to send out 6 full boxes fo goodies to them. Thank you again for everything you did.

Have you ever seen a movie where a heard of Locusts fly through a corn field and devour every last kernel of corn? Well that is what happened when we had our end of the school year free BBQ for the MVHS kids. We bought enough food for 100 people, we had somewhere around 130-140 kids show up for the BBQ. We didn't have anything left. It is amazing when we let God have is way with us. When we let God do His thing and we stand back, watch out. I want to the Gail and Coldstone for supplying us with ice cream and everyone else who helped out at the BBQ.
There will be an informational meeting on July 8th at 12:30 in the Sanctuary at church to discuss our trip to Mexico during spring break of 08. The dates as of right now are that we would be leaving on the Friday the 21st and be returning on either Saturday the 29th or Sunday the 30th. This mission trip is open to the whole Church.
Coming up on June 30th the Youth Group will be spending the day at Crescent Lake . The cost will be $15/person which will cover gas for the boat.
I'm looking forward to this summer. We have several cool events planned and would opportunity to invite your friends to youth group. Please be praying for this fall. We want to split up the middle and high school kids. In order to do this we are going to need more volunteers to help out. Please give me a call if you are interested or have any questions.
