We are finalizing our 2009 schedule of workshops and trainings and will send this out separately from our newsletter.  Most of our calendar is now posted on our website (click link above). We will post the dates for our NLP
practitioner training by the end of January.  Please note: NLP Practitioner training will likely begin in June.

Julie Hawkins will be speaking at The Awareness Network on February 26th at 8:30 a.m. My topic is Clearing Your Path to Money. Below is a brief description.

Money is a thought on everyone's lips these days.  There is plenty of money out there and Law of attraction will bring it to you once the path is clear and you are aligned to receive it. Go with Julie and together you will clear and heal your barriers and blocks on your energetic path to money.

Lastly, I am once again embracing technology.  Our blog, (see the link above) is up and running and we are actually posting to it.  You'll see random posts, deliberate posts with tips such as the ones in this newsletter, and even updates from "twitter" (I really am embracing technology again).
Please check out our blog.
Greetings!

Happy New Year!  It's 2009 and I'm so excited because starting the New Year is, well, new.  It's starting fresh.  It's our chance to have a "do-over" which in all reality is every moment of every minute. Think about that....  So as we start fresh I have a few thoughts I'd like to share and a few tips I hope will assist you as you head down the 2009 path.
What's Your Theme?

datebookFor the past three years I've created a theme for the New Year.  This year my theme is "I allow."  I love it!  In the past it has been a challenge for me to allow.  I couldn't possibly allow people to help me because they might see that I'm not perfect (tee hee).  I couldn't possibly allow someone to give me a compliment because I felt undeserving.  I couldn't possibly allow money to come easily into my life without "earning" it. Wow, lots of conditions, right?  Well to be perfectly honest I gave up most of these conditions a long time ago, but there are still a few left hanging around and I'm ready to give them up too. I'm ready to allow in all that I want and deserve simply by the virtue of being alive on this planet.

Here is how I am allowing.
Listening.  When I listen to the wisdom of my own body and the totally perfect guidance that comes from my Divine connection, I create and live total joy.  It also means listening to those around me, not for guidance per se but for the signs of my own projections upon them.

Feelings.  Within me I have a perfect system to tell me when things are not "right" with me.  Abraham Hicks, our favorite sage, calls it your internal GPS and I love this.  I'm very in tune with my GPS so I'm pretty clear almost immediately about what feels good and what doesn't, why it is out of sorts and what to do about it. I have been tuning in seriously now for many years and will continue to fine tune.

Be open. When I am open to receiving then "it" will come, whatever "it" is I've been asking for.  The key here is to be specific about what one is asking for.

As I was recently explaining to a friend, we live in what's called an "inclusive" world. There is no such thing as asking for something we don't want, such as "I don't want to be poor."  The unconscious mind does not directly process negatives or "nots, can'ts or don'ts." It thinks whatever you say goes, whether it is negative or positive.  So if you don't want to be poor you will want to decide WHAT you do want such as "I want to be prosperous and abundant and I am becoming more prosperous and abundant every day."  Languaging is everything and while this may sound like an affirmation it is quite the same.  Ask for what you want (not what you don't want - see that's a double negative).

Be Thought-Full.  The average person thinks around 50,000 thoughts a day (just picture a stadium with about 50,000 people in it - that's a lot of thoughts).  Many of them redundant and many negative only we are not usually conscious of those.  So my intention is to be full of the thoughts that bring me joy and happiness.

I encourage you to create a Theme and jot down some thoughts like I did so you know how you will achieve your theme.
Do You Know Where You Are Headed?

If you registered for our Designing Your Perfect Year workshop then you probably do.  If not, then read on.

It's ok if you don't know which end is up, or how you are going to recoup what you lost in the stock market, who you will date, how you will make your first million or any other "what now" questions.  What's great about this is you have a blank slate, which can also be scary for some.

The best place to start any new project, idea or path is to start right where you are.  This may sound obvious, but it's not for some (and if it's obvious for you, use this as a reminder, please).  I've worked with many people over the years who believe they have to reach their goal, arrive at their destination, or "get" what they want, NOW.  They have completely unrealistic timelines and ways to achieve it.  Let's face it, if it were quick and easy to achieve, we'd already have "IT."

When we start something new one of the first feelings we have is fearWhat if it doesn't work?  What if I can't do it? What if no one likes it?  What if? What if? What if?  Ugggg!  What if takes place in the future. It is not "NOW" and you can only live (no matter how hard you may try) in NOW.

Tip: If you are in "What If" then be there, but only long enough to answer the question(s).

Example: What if it doesn't work? Well then maybe I'll need to ask my friend to help me tweak it so it does work.  In fact this is exactly what Chris and I did when we began last year to develop our MLM Breakthrough workshop.  We developed an outline and held an "alpha" test group.  Got great feedback and went back and tweaked it.  Then we held a larger "beta" test group.  Received more really valuable information and went back and tweaked some more and this January 31 we launch MLM Breakthrough.

I think "what if" questions can be valuable as long as you get a substantive answer.  Then you can move to the next step whatever this is for you.  The key to remember is to take logical next steps because this is how you manage your fear and any overwhelm if it shows up.

Speaking of overwhelm you know we have brilliant bodies.  If you feel overwhelm it's because your body is saying you are doing too much or you are thinking about doing too much. It's a brilliant signal that I suggest you listen to.

Tip: When you begin to feel overwhelm take a step back from where you are until you feel comfortable again.  Then move forward again slowly as you begin to feel a bit out of your comfort zone.  You are now moving toward your goal and you want to find a balance between good stress and the stagnation of overwhelm so get you inspired and motivated. It's a dance, and when you work with it instead of pushing against it you will enjoy the process and have much more fun and satisfaction.
