Greetings! |
Every month I have a newsletter to write and every month I wait for the divine shower of inspiration to rain down on me so when I sit down to type the flow of words is easy and intuitive. I've been waiting longer than usual this month and I think it has to do with the fact that I've been "detoxing" for the past 10 plus days. Detox has been a foreign and somewhat dirty word for me in the past. I like my food. I like to eat. I enjoy my chocolate. But did you know they do not have to be mutually exclusive?
Ok, long story short, by the grace of an angel we acquired a Kangen Water Unit (Kangen in Japanese means "return to origin") and life has been very different. I will not go into details here, but I have been detoxifying big time and am still in the process and this is simply from this very unique water (here's the link in case you are curious) Kangen Water. Let me just say my body is thankful I am finally cleaning it up and I didn't have to stop eating to do it because that kind of detox just doesn't work for me. I am eating less and eating better because of the water though. The reason I'm telling you this is because every day brings something new and not always welcome as one's body rids itself of toxins. The point is I've actually been fairly uninspired because of it. But now as I sit here drinking my Kangen water one thing I know for sure, things are changing. What a blessing because I feel inspired again.

Thanks and Giving |
A thought from Julie: I have fond memories of Thanksgivings past. My family was very small and often there were only 6 of us at a gathering. I miss those intimate times as my parents and their siblings and their parents have all passed on. Those of us who gather will think of those who are not with us whether by distance or death or some other reason. I will miss my daughter who will not make it out from Hawaii. I will miss her dreadfully having not seen her for some time. I am thankful she is my daughter and there is so much I appreciate about who she is. Yes, Thanksgiving is truly my most favorite holiday of the year which is why November is better than December (IMHO). It is a time we can gather together with those we love to traditionally share food and talk about what we are thankful for and I adore this ritual because it is from the heart. No phony obligatory exchange of gifts many of us can ill afford this year; just heartfelt exchanges of abundant plates, loving words and thoughts, the eminent joy (and the occasional grunts about who is going to do the dishes and how we ate too much). While these types of gatherings can turn into less positive events I refuse to go down this slippery slope holding my stake firmly in the ground of love, appreciation and joy. I am thankful I will be with my immediate loved ones and I am thankful for who am. For me the inspiration comes in the appreciation of all that I have and all that is available to me, just waiting for me to line up with it so it can drop in to my life. Happiest of Thanksgivings to you all. A thought from Chris: As we get ready to turn the corner to a new era I recall what an eventful month this has been. We have made history in a way never before done with the election of Barack Obama, our first black president. It is a hopeful time. The world is also making history financially. And I think it is a time of reflection as we head into the holiday gift giving season. Things seem to be looking bleaker and bleaker and you may be wondering what you can do about it. Thomas L. Friedman, three-time award winning Pulitzer Prize winner, author of Hot, Flat and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution and How it Can Renew America, as well a New York Times columnist emphatically tells us we must invest in ourselves to make it through the rocky and turbulent times ahead. And what's more he tells us we cannot do this in the conventional or old ways we've been doing things.
Julie and I couldn't agree more. It is what our company name and philosophy stands for. Several years ago we went through the interesting process of naming our company and finally landed on NewLogic Solutions. Most people thought it was a software or high tech company and we were often explaining that we are a company focused on alternative health and empowerment workshops and trainings. It is the epitomy of investng in you!
It's actually very simple. The world is a reflection for us and the mirror is saying our old conventional methods of success are failing (it is reflected in the stock market daily). We need a new wisdom - a NewLogic to provide the solutions. Almost everything NewLogic Solutions does as a business is nontraditional or unconventional and we're proud of it because it means we are on the cutting edge of change and success all the time. NewLogic Solutions is right in line with the new wisdom (which is actually the old, old wisdom) about to transform this nation and the world and the starting place is with you - one person at a time. Now is the time for new wisdom and a NewLogic and that is what you'll experience with us whether you see us as a client or take one of our transformational workshops. We teach you how to invest in getting healthy so you won't be drained physically, financially and energetically. We teach you how to change your fear into courage so you walk down a new and powerful path. We breakthrough your barriers so you can have breakthrough successess and we give you the skills to do it yourself so you have a choice in the future. NewLogic Solutions is the uniting of cutting edge tools with ancient wisdom and the result is choosing your health and your wealth for life. |
