Winter Safety Tips
From winter driving to frozen pipes to fire hazards in your home, the cold winter weather sure can wreak havoc. Although the northeast has experienced a mild winter so far this year, it doesn't mean a cold blast of air and snow won't hit our area.

Here are some of the top winter safety tips that will keep you, your family and property safe during the remaining couple months of winter:
  • make sure you clean your car of ice and snow before you leave home
  • don't let your gas tank drop below a quarter of a tank or it might freeze
  • shut off and drain any indoor valves that lead to outside faucets like your garden hose
  • seal any leaks that allow cold air inside near pipes
  • don't run space heaters when you are not home or go to bed
  • make sure you allow at least 3 feet of space around any portable heaters
  • never use your oven to heat your home
