It's a Record...

27 Inches

In 24 Hours!

Greetings!

Ullr, the Norse God of Snow, made up for his absence in a big way in Steamboat Springs on Sunday and Monday, gracing the ski slopes with a record breaking snowfall.  Over TWO FEET of Champagne Powder fell upon the Steamboat ski slopes between 3:00 pm Sunday and 6:00 am Monday.  It was very hard for yours truly to stay in the office and not invoke the "Powder Clause."

barn winter 2012

Above is a shot of the Steamboat Barn taken Monday afternoon.  What you can't see in this shot are all of the smiles of skiers enjoying all of that powder on the slopes behind the barn.

According to the Steamboat Pilot, "The 5 a.m. snow report said 27 inches of powder fell in the previous 24 hours, the most in recorded history at Steamboat Ski Area. And on top of that, another 7 inches fell between 5 and 11 a.m. for a 30-hour total of 34 inches at mid-mountain."

This morning we woke up with an additional 9", and there is a winter weather warning from now through Wednesday.

What's Happening in the
Steamboat Condo Market?
Iwas wondering that myself.  So I took an in-depth look into the market to see what is going on...
Have buyers missed their golden opportunity?
Are prices increasing?
What does inventory look like?
Where are the buys?
What price range broke the record for its highest number of sales in a given year?

These properties are just a sample of some of the great buys in the Steamboat Springs market right now.  Please let me know if you would like any additional information, or if you would like me to conduct a personal search for you.

It has certainly taken some time for the big snows to arrive, but all it took was a little faith (and a change in the jet stream).  I hope you can take advantage of the wonderful skiing and snowboarding conditions we now have.  Even this morning my downtown business neighbors were actually smiling while shoveling all of the new snow from the sidewalks.

Please feel free to give me a call (877.970.8885) or email to discuss any thoughts you may have on fulfilling your dreams of owning a Steamboat Springs property.  The time may never be better!

Sincerely,
