Come Celebrate the 4th With Us!
Greetings!
I would like to personally invite you to our downtown Steamboat Springs office at 118 8th Street on July 4th. During, and for about two hours after the 4th of July Parade, we will again have our awning set up with free lemonade, watermelon, other refreshments and balloons in celebration of our nation's birthday.
The Parade begins at 10:00 AM, so please stop by. It would be great seeing old (and new) friends.
The fireworks begin at about 9:00 PM at Howelsen Hill, and organizers have promised this year to be the biggest ever, as last year's grand finale had a technical malfunction, and there are a number of leftovers that will be used this year (we hope).
Other Saturday activities include:
- Yampa's 4th of July "Out of the West" Parade at 1:00
- Steamboat Lions Club pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 AM at Little Toots Park
- Nordic Combined events including roller-ski racing at 9:30 AM on Lincoln Ave and ski jumping from 12:30 to 2 PM at Howelsen Hill
- The Steamboat Sprint 400 yard dash down Lincoln Ave at 9:40 AM
- United Methodist Church hosts a Strawberry Festival right after the parade
- The 1773 Club hosts a taxpayer tea party on the Routt County Courthouse lawn after the parade
- Art on the Mountain is from 10 AM to 4 PM at Gondola Square
- Pioneer Block Party is from 11 AM to 1 PM adjacent to our office
- An ice cream social sponsored by the Hahns Peak Area Historical Society is from 2 to 4 PM at the Hahns Peak Schoolhouse
- The Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series rodeo is at the Romick Arena and begins at 7 PM
- A Western Barbecue is at the top of the Steamboat Gondola at 7 PM
Sunday is the annual Saddleback Ranch Cattle Drive at 10 AM on Lincoln Avenue. |

Did You Miss Last Month's Newsletter?
I hope so! In the four years I have been writing the monthly Steamboat Analyst and Newsletter, last month was the first month I failed to write the report. It wasn't because I was on the golf course (the weather in June was a bit rainy), but I've been busy as ever assisting clients.
I really enjoy researching and writing these articles, and I do intend on writing one for July (you should have it next week), but over the next few weeks I'm going to have to think hard on the subject.
My thought is that I would still continue monthly updates (like this), but only do the Analyst on a more manageable quarterly basis.
If you could email me and give me your opinion on this I would be very grateful! |
What a Deal!
As you know, I pride myself in negotiating great deals for clients, and I am very proud to announce a recent client purchase that closed a few weeks ago. The property was at The Porches, which is a high end townhome development located northwest of the ski area, off of Mt Werner Circle. The townhome was brand new and consisted of four bedrooms, four plus baths, 3,903 square feet, a gourmet kitchen, multiple fireplaces and two car garage. Listed for $2,628,630, my clients were able to purchase the property for under $2m!
I have to give much credit to my clients for having the fortitude and desire to work for such a purchase, for we made no fewer than 20 offers on various properties before this one came together. It took some work, but was all worth it in the end. |

There may be other great opportunities like the one at The Porches waiting for you. Please give me a call and I would be happy to discuss the possibilities.
Have a great 4th of July, and I hope to see you on Saturday!
