Mustad Slow Death Hooks

 Mustad Hooks
Premier hook brand Mustad has added new sizes to its popular Slow Death crawler hooks to meet demand and accommodate a broader range of species.
What the maker say: "The Slow Death is an Aberdden-style pattern with a special kinked shaft that, when threaded with half of a night crawler and trolled to slow speeds or in drift style presentation produces an enticing corkscrew action. Introduced in size two, the hook is now also available in size one and four. The hook features an ultra sharp, ultra strong point and comes in three finishes - 24kg gold plated, red and bronze. The hook is typically rigged with a swivel, which eliminates line twist on
bottom bouncing  or inline weighted rigs."

Okuma Salina Rods

Buoyed by the success of their Salina saltwater spinning reels, Okuma have developed two new families of rods under the Salina banner. The SeaSpin range is designed specifically for casting lures long distances, with a fast and responsive carbon black, saltwater-grade guides and a customised unique machine-cut carbon reel seat - with Fuji gold label caps. the five-strong range starts with a 5ft 15-45g model and ends with a 10ft model, rated 20-60g. The two Salina Standup rods are both 7ft, one rated 100-250g and the other 200-500g, for big conger.
