Great Places to snowshoe on Vancouver Island
Vancouver Island is thriving with outstanding scenery and beautiful spots to snowshoe.
If you are looking for a spot in Nanaimo then look no further. Depending on snow level, Westwood Ridges and Lantzville Foothills can be excellent! If the snow line is higher than Mt. Benson is a great area. Looking a little further Paradise Meadows, the old Forbidden Plateau ski hill and Mt. Washington are great spots.

This season cross country skiing has been in high demand at Alberni Outpost. We are carrying AlpinaŽ cross country skis, a respected and valued part of the cross country skiing world. In turn we want them to become apart of your outdoor equipment inventory. AlpinaŽ has been designing outdoor equipment since early 1900s and has never compromised quality for quantity in any respect.

Taste of Snowshoeing
Alberni Outpost is proud to announce this year's Taste of Snowshoeing trips.
January 29th, February 26th and March 18th.
These exciting adventures beginning at the Courtenay Store at 10am, where participants can meet and carpool to the start point. Snowshoes and poles will be provided and the trip will last approximately 2 hours. The venue for the trip will vary depending on snow and weather conditions. Participants will return to the Courtenay Store at 1pm.
This exciting adventure costs $34.99 per person and limited spots available so book early to guarantee your spot.

Courtenay Store gets a new Manager Please join us in welcoming Catharine as the new manager of the Courtenay Store. Catharine moved to the beautiful Comox Valley for breath-taking mountains, outdoor healthy lifestyle and fresh air but instantly indulged in the ocean at her door step.
Catharine is a avid wilderness camper, cross country skier and runner. She has a background in intensive fitness and recreation.
Please make a point of stopping into our Courtenay store and saying hello!
