| JUVÊDERMTM Dermal Fillers |
As skin ages, it produces less of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). Over time, this results in facial wrinkles and folds, like those "parentheses" lines around your nose and mouth.
JUVÉDERMTM injectable gel replaces the HA your skin has lost, bringing back volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds. A breakthrough in HA dermal fillers, it is the first smooth-consistency HA gel and the only HA gel that's FDA approved to last up to a year.

LATISSETM Eyelash Lengthening
|
Last year, I told you about a controversy concerning cosmetic products that were being marketed to the public by cosmetic companies to lengthen eyelashes. Like most great medical breakthroughs, it was observed that as an unusual side effect of a legitimate medicine for glaucoma (bimatoprost eyedrops), the eyelashes of the users were growing longer, darker and thicker. So these companies started putting bimatoprost as an ingredient in cosmetic products. Unfortunately the FDA had not reviewed any of these products for safety and so they were quickly removed from the market.
But here's the latest update: in December 2008 Allergan announced that the FDA had approved LATISSETM as the first and only science-based treatment for sparse eyelashes (hypotrichosis). So for those of you who wish you had longer, thicker, darker lashes, click here to read more about LATISSETM.

| Nothing Works Better for People with Dark Spots |

An over-abundance of melanin cells (melanocytes) in a localized spot on the skin can be recognized as a sunspot, age spot, or liver spot. Melasma is a more diffuse darkening of the skin that occurs predominantly in women. It is caused by excessive production of melanin - the pigment that causes skin to tan. That's why the sun, which increases melanin production, makes sunspots and melasma worse. Melasma occurs almost instantly on areas of skin that are exposed to the sun, like the chin, cheeks and upper lip area. It can be mild, moderate, or severe. In fact, about 6 million American women are estimated to have melasma. Anyone can have it, though it seems to be more common in people with darker skin types.
Research shows that a triple-combination treatment like Tri-Luma ® Cream applied once daily over a long-term period is a safe, tolerable, and effective treatment for facial melasma. Tri-Luma ® Cream has 3 active ingredients that work together - to help ease the symptoms of melasma.
