After much prayer and counsel, I launched Corner Men Ministries which provides one-on-one mentoring to ex-offenders. We recruit, train and match volunteer mentors with ex-offenders. If you wanted to serve in this way, we would partner you with a man, who is within three months of his release, using a careful matching process. We will support your mentoring relationship with discipleship materials (Wild at Heart, Purpose Driven, Men's Fraternity, Crown Financial, etc.). The relationship piece is the most important aspect of the ministry. 

Mentoring isn't for everyone; therefore we are developing other service opportunities to meet the needs of these men and their families. I believe this ministry not only engages in a battle for the hearts and souls of these men, but also acts as a service to our community since most of these men are fathers, husbands, and of course, our brothers.

We are at a time in our history where we can no longer spend more time fighting our brothers over denominational differences when we are maligned by a culture that wants to eliminate our voice from influencing America and the world. We cannot survive without each other and the commonality we seek is simply to be a follower of Jesus and to be a man.

 

We will stumble and fall at times, as all warriors have, but we live for the day when Jesus removes our armor and releases us to fight no more. We are home. I want my armor battered and bloody, scarred and torn, tattered and hanging from a thread. I want to die a warrior...
