Greetings!

Well, I've had one heck of a week with computers.  For some strange reason, I've lost my connection to my CD and DVD drives on my desktop computer.  I get this Code 19 error.  After doing some research on the internet, I've realized I'm not alone in this issue.  Turns out many others have had the same problem.  The suggestions on how to fix the problem have not worked, so I'm probably looking at a total system recovery.  Ugh!!

Then, as if that wasn't enough, I had downloaded Microsoft's Service Pack 1 for Vista onto my laptop, and now I've lost my sound.  Again, hopped online and did some research only to find out that this, too, is a known problem.  I have not tackled this problem, yet, but I guess this is something to look forward to.

And oh yes, my son bought this PC game with his hard-earned chore money only to find out that the computer the kids use does not have a good enough graphics card to run the game.  Talk about a disappointed kid.

Then, Kathy comes home from work this evening and tells me her computer at work died.  What are the odds?!!  Is there something in the air?  So yes, a fun week of dealing with computers. I think computers are great, but when there's problems with them, it can be very time-consuming and frustrating!

So, let's move onto some fun stuff...

Help Feed the AnimalsFree Kibble

Mimi Ausland, a 12 year old girl from Bend, Oregon, wanted to help feed the hungry dogs at her local animal shelter. "There are 10's of thousands of dogs in animal shelters across the country, all needing to be fed a good meal." Say hello to www.freekibble.com

And now it's time to feed the cats too!  Freekibble.com's primary mission is to provide good, healthy food to dogs and cats to those shelters who are working so hard to see that none of them go hungry - they need our help. In addition to providing free kibble to the Humane Society of Central Oregon, we've added 8 new shelters to the program (from Oregon to Florida!) and plan to expand the program to many more! Thanks to everyone for supporting freekibble by playing the trivia game - every piece of kibble counts!

Zootoo.com has very generously committed to helping Mimi succeed and is partnering with freekibble.com to donate and distribute the kibble to all the hungry dogs and cats (http://www.freekibblekat.com/).

We also want to make it easy and fun for you to help provide free kibble by playing the Trivia game - and we hope you learn a few interesting things about dogs and cats along the way. Thanks and enjoy!
