You Stepped Up!!
State Senator Gary George told you to shut up. Instead, you stepped up. In response to our email about Just Out's explosive interview with State Senator Gary George - one of the Republican co-sponsors of the anti-gay initiative to repeal Oregon's non-discrimination law, we raised $2,790 for the Basic Rights Oregon Measure PAC!
If you haven't given yet, you can help us make it to 5k! Your money will go directly to the Basic Rights Oregon Measure PAC to fight Sen. Gary George's vile attack against LGBT Oregonians. Contribute now!
Our opponents want us to be quiet, but that's not going to happen. Oregon is now home to two pieces of landmark equality legislation: the Oregon Equality Act, which created a statewide law banning discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, and the Oregon Family Fairness Act, which gives committed couples in domestic partnerships the legal recognition they need to take care of one another - especially in a crisis.
A small group of anti-equality interests want to take those rights away, but we won't let that happen. Gay or straight, partnered or single, we won't give up the rights we've fought for. By supporting the Basic Rights Measure PAC, you're ensuring pro-equality voices are heard when it counts.
Be sure to check Just Out to read the full interview with State Senator Gary George.
Thank you for all you do,
Jeana Frazzini

Portland Lavender Womyn
We'd like to host a kid-friendly scrabble night.
In our previous town, we used to have a regular Saturday night Scrabble night. It had a potluck element, in that folks brought stuff to eat when they could, but we always had something on hand, as well. Other games are good, too: backgammon, chess, apples-to-apples.
Llet's go with a 2nd Saturday thing, April 12 being the first one. We'll start around 5 or 6pm. Our kids will be here (3 and 5), heading to bed around 7 or so. We're usually petered out by 10 or 11pm, although it's not unknown for scrabble to persist late into the night given the right conversation and beverages ;-)
If you'd like to come, please click here to request directions.
Peace, Erin |
