September 2010

Greetings!

Hello September!

Wow where did the summer go? I don't know about you but when the sun finally appeared I was stunned, and almost not ready. However it was out just in time for our awesome golf tournament. Our amazing sponsors and participants once again made it possible for us to brighten the lives of women and children in San Diego. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we are always grateful for the support we receive in return. Our golf committee did an incredible job and as always it was a day of fun, food and friendship.

It's now back to school and back to work. Suitcases go back in storage, sun block is back under the bathroom cabinet.  Bathing suits and towels are washed and put away, and souvenirs are put on shelves. Travel bags are replaced by book bags and briefcases. Brochures about our vacation "get a way" is replaced by insurance magazines and loss runs. Client lunches and bag lunches replace fast food and alfresco dining in far away places.

But don't get sad yet! PWI is having its very first Speed Networking Event! On September 30th from 5:30 to 7:30 at Fifty Seven Degrees Wine Emporium; 1735 Hancock Street, San Diego, CA 92101

. Thank you Imperial Credit Union for being our sponsor for our very first networking event ever! Click here
for more information.

We still have two more scheduled events...our October luncheon and our Holiday party. Please see our calendar of events for more details.

Now get back to your desk and stop daydreaming of vacations. Summer will be here again soon enough. In the meantime PWI is here to bring you support, friendship, laughter and many opportunities to make our community a better place to live.

See you September 30th at Fifty Seven Degrees Wine Emporium!

PWI is pleased to invite one and all to come savor the fine wine, gourmet appetizers and sparkling conversation, all, while getting to network with your insurance peers. Your donation of $25 includes appetizers and 2 glasses of wine to sip alfresco in the private patio.

We will toast the launching of PWI's Progressive Member Attendance Reward at this event.  It's easy to be a winner! PWI will give away $50 at each of our monthly events. Members present at the time of the drawing are eligible for the  winnings.   If you snooze or leave early you lose. The prize money then rolls over and increases monthly by $50 until we draw our lucky winner.

Cheers from PWI!
