Achievement Tests
April 19-23

Next week, we will be conducting achievement tests in all grades.  Students should be on time, and absences should be limited to absolute necessity only.  Students who are tardy will not be allowed to enter the classroom once the test has started and will have to stay in at recess to make-up any portion of the test they missed.  It is important that children get a good night's rest each night prior to the test and eat a good breakfast  in the morning.  There will be a snack time each morning in every class.  Parents should send a quick, nutritious snack for this break.  Students should bring two No. 2 pencils for taking the test.  Please encourage your child to do his or her best without creating undue stress.

The office will not interrupt class to deliver forgotten items, messages, or lunches. As always, parents are not allowed to go to the classrooms without checking-in with the office first.
Thunder Run
The event is not over yet,
keep collecting those pledges ...
Collection envelopes with the amount of laps completed were sent home in the Tuesday Informer last week. Envelopes include pledge forms, a participation ribbon, and a coupon for Rita's.  Students may continue to collect pledges thru Friday, April 23.

No name:  We had a pledge form without a name. If you are missing your pledge form, please contact Dana Whitworth at 734-3771.

See the list below of the top 5 runners in each grade.
Way to Go!
We are very pleased to announce CDS eighth grader, Jahnavi Jagannath, placed second in the ACSI Regional Bee in Atlanta on Friday. Jahnavi will represent CDS at the ACSI National Bee in Washington, D.C. on May 7th and 8th. We are so proud of Jahnavi and thank her for representing CDS at the National Level.
