CHINA CLIPPER 75TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
The China Clipper 75th Anniversary Celebration festivities are coming along beautifully. So beautifully in fact that the dinner event on Treasure Island is
SOLD OUT and we are now offering a Wait List.
If you plan to enjoy some of the other activities, now is the time to act before they too are sold out.
The Welcome Cocktail Party will be held at the Marriott Union Square on Wednesday, November 17th. This event is filling up quickly. It's a great opportunity to meet and greet old friends and make new friends. Registration and Event Fee are payable at the time you make your reservation. There currently is room on the Commodore Yachts 4-hour cruise and dinner on Thursday, November 18th. We will be offering a program with a speaker before the dinner. After we leave the dock the yachts will follow the route of the China Clipper as it took off and flew under the unfinished Bay Bridge and over the unfinished Golden Gate bridge (we stay on the water!). We'll cruise by Treasure Island and Clipper Cove and continue on to other sites about the Bay.
A free event is a Tour of the San Francisco Airport Museum which is featuring a wonderful display of Pan Am memorabilia on Friday, November 19th. The Museum staff is pulling out the stops to make this an over the top exhibit and you won't want to miss out. You do not have to pay the registration fee and there is no cost for the museum tour, HOWEVER, you must sign up in advance and these tours are filling up quickly. Tour 1 and Tour 3 still have space. Tour 2 is sold out. Please give your 1st and 2nd choice for Tour 1 and Tour 3. Sign up on www.China-Clipper.com
Something to be aware of is that NO WALK-INS WILL BE ACCOMMODATED AT ANY EVENT. All guests must be pre-registered and pre-paid. You will receive a color-coded wristband and badge holder which must be worn at each event. Each registered guest will also receive Welcome Gifts.
