A Blue Lady, LLC is a full-service florist located in Peachtree City, GA. Owned by WEDA graduate Kimberly Morrison, the business began as a home-based venture in January 2006. Since then, business has steadily increased and includes a number of exclusive contracts in which the company is the sole floral provider for entities that include Cannongate Country Clubs (which owns a total of 15 facilities), the Fayette County Development Authority, and a local cleaning service that places the company’s floral arrangements throughout a heavily-trafficked Peachtree City business complex. The business quickly outgrew the confines of Kimberly’s home, and with a loan from Business Loan Express, one of WEDA’s micro-lending partners, A Blue Lady relocated in August to a store-front on North Peachtree Parkway.

A Blue Lady has proven to not only be a profitable expression of Kimberly’s floral abilities, but also a catalyst for her metamorphosis from a newly- divorced, former full-time homemaker whose self- confidence had been eroded, into a self-assured entrepreneur whose success at building relationships recently resulted in her being selected to chair Fayette County’s 2006 United Way Campaign, a role that will no doubt also serve to further increase the visibility of her business.
