Greetings!

The weather reports states starting tomorrow and continuing into the weekend are for very cold (mid teens) temperatures. A snow advisory has just been issued by the weather service as well. We will be checking all of our homes unless instructed otherwise to make sure that furnaces are on and operating properly for both heaters and fireplaces. We will be turning off all sprinkler systems and making sure that items that could blow away are secured. Please contact either Flip (530-314-1007) or Dana (530-318-7990) if you are planning on performing these items yourself.

Thanks in advance! We hope this bodes well for a fantastic winter season!
Weather Service Message 10/09/08

Lake effect Snow Advisory in effect from 11 am to 11 PM PDT
Friday...

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a lake effect
Snow Advisory... which is in effect from 11 am to 11 PM PDT
Friday.

A band of snow showers will move into the Lake Tahoe region Friday
morning. These showers could produce up to two inches of snow...
however a steady band of snow may persist over areas south of Lake
Tahoe through Friday evening. This band of lake effect snow will
bring two to four inches of accumulation with the potential for
locally higher amounts.

A lake effect Snow Advisory Means Lake-effect snow is forecast
that will make travel difficult in some areas. Use caution when
traveling... especially near Stateline and Meyers. Check our
website at weather.Gov/Reno or listen to NOAA Weather Radio for
updates on this situation.

Sierra Snow Snow Removal
We will be providing you complete and all inclusive bids for snow removal which will include the driveways, walking access and Hot Tub access snow removal. If you have already contracted with an operator please let us know immediately so that we can place your property on the access, deck and Hot Tub snow removal list unless you contractor will be performing these services in addition to the driveway. Make sure you verify that your operator gets out of the cab and clears the walk ways to the door and a path to the hot tub.

Frozen Pipes!! Freeze Alarms
We are strongly encouraging all of our homeowners to install a Freeze Alarm that will alert us via phone (unit must have a landline phone) if the temperature in the home falls below 47 degrees...this device could save you thousands of dollars in the event the homes heating system stops working and a deep freeze is underway. We provide, install and monitor the alarm for $275. Let us know ASAP

Because as long time Lake Tahoe residents (Dana 27 years)  and because this is a very early and significant cold snap on the way it is prudent to take these steps to head off any future problems.

Sincerely,
