Inhale!
Back to basics. Over the years we've presented many different scented candle brands. Votivo was one of the first we offered at Koo. Recently a friend mentioned a favorite Votivo scent and I decided that sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. Classic, handmade, sealed with a distinctive pewter medallion, and packaged in gorgeous boxes, Votivo is back at Koo de Kir to stay. 6.1 oz $25, burntime 50 hours. Many fragances available.

Purple can be a hard color to work with but when it's used well -- wow, what a great accent color! Our inspiration for this color theory spotlight is courtesy of our friends at MOXIE. Koo de Kir Studio was chosen to design the interior of Moxie's new (and allow us to say) super-chic Wellesley location, where purple reigns supreme. To see any of these colors in action, visit the new Moxie, opening soon at 24 Church Street in Wellesley.
Colors: Benjamin Moore Purple Haze (1413), Super Nova (1414) Hazy Lilac (2116-40)

Koo de Kir Studio and its creative team: architect, builder and client, refresh a shabby renovation in a 19th Century schoolhouse to create a crisp, urban loft. Perched on Beacon Hill, the space is all about the views. Enlarged windows let the outside in, while interior glass and a serene color palette bounce the light around the bright, modern space.

Sunday, June 7th 2:30pm at the ICA
We don't usually promote things outside of Koo de Kir, but when we learned that one of our favorite authors, Alain de Botton , author of How Proust can Change Your Life, The Art of Travel, and The Architecture of Happiness, will speak about his latest book The Pleasures and Sorrows of Work at the ICA, we had to help spread the word. The new book focuses on twelve individuals and their varying occupations, and looks at the practice and processes that we spend most of our time pursuing.
