Greetings!
Summer may be over but we have lots of
upcoming kayaking adventures planned for the
coming Fall and Winter seasons.
We hope that you will join us for some fun
and excitement on these tours.
And don't forget that we will be happy to put
together a custom tour for out-of-town guests
or that special family event or anniversary.
| Crosby Stills and Nash Coming to Humphrey's September 27 and 28 |
 |
|
Crosby, Stills & Nash have remained America's
longest-running experiment in vocal harmony
and social relevance.
The trio
brought harmony to the forefront of popular
music with their unique three-part vocal
blend. A low-key supergroup, they emphasized
singing and songwriting above all, and their
example contributed to the evolution of the
singer/songwriter movement in the Seventies.
Their hits include "Suite: Judy Blue
Eyes," "Wooden Ships," "Marrakesh Express,"
"Almost Cut My Hair," "Teach Your Children,"
"Helpless," "Woodstock," "Ohio," "Love the
One You're With," "Our House," "Just a Song
Before I Go," "Shadow Captain," "Dark Star,"
"Southern Cross" and "Carry On."

| Thanksgiving Kayak Camping on the Colorado River Wednesday, Nov. 25 - Sunday, Nov. 29 |
 |
|
Join us for our annual Thanksgiving
adventure of four glorious days paddling flat
water on the lower Colorado River.
Along the way we camp out, explore
the wildlife refuge, and visit
historic mines and cabins.
Family
Kayak Adventure Center will provide the
holiday turkey and we each bring part of the
holiday meal to share.
This is a great trip to learn to be self
sufficient in a kayak. Participants are
responsible for their own camping gear, food,
and drinking water. A detailed itinerary and
equipment list is provided.

Manatees and Mangroves in the Florida Everglades |
|
|
|
8-Days/7 nights January 1-8, 2010
This tour uses a cabin at a lodge, as our
home base each night. The lodge is located
on a private island within the 10,000 island
area.
We will take shuttle boats out
to the local islands and mangroves where we
will be dropped off to explore in our kayaks.
We will paddle an average of 5-8 miles each
day.
Some days we will get dropped off on a white
sand beach on one of the 10,000 islands and
spend the day exploring the small keys in the
Gulf of Mexico. Along the way we will
encounter dolphins, sea turtles, white
pelicans, and snowy egrets.
