The white color stands together with the splendor of the cosmic intelligence, a very dense splendor.  It is the descendent of the pure primordial splendor and has a supreme faith, which proceeds from reason, invokes hope.

But white in the negative aspect is its worst enemy. The nuptial white symbolizes the pure human form. The ocular globe is connected with white and used for diagnostic purposes.

Positive words that relate with the white are: understanding, immaculate, benevolent.  Foods of white color also contribute to eliminating the debris of the lymphatic system: garlic, white onion, cauliflower, etc.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), a type of anxiety disorder, is a potentially disabling illness that traps people in endless cycles of repetitive thoughts and behaviors. People with OCD are plagued by recurring and distressing thoughts, fears, or images (obsessions) they cannot control. The compulsive rituals are performed in an attempt to prevent the obsessive thoughts or make them go away. People with OCD may be aware that their obsessions and compulsions are senseless or unrealistic, but they cannot stop them.

Common obsessions include:

  • fear of dirt or contamination by germs
  • fear of causing harm to others
  • fear of making a mistake
  • fear of being embarrassed or behaving in a socially unacceptable manner
  • and much more.

What causes OCD?
Studies show a combination of biological and environmental factors may be involved. The brain is a complex structure and, in addition, there is evidence that a serotonin imbalance (a low level of one neurotransmitter) may be passed on from parents to children. (Reference WebMD)

COMPLETELY AVOID SUGAR. Responses to the effects of sugar are: boredom, paranoia, inability to deal, emotional twistedness, despair, hopeless, dehydration, thirst, self-destruction, unhappiness, fantasy world, hopeless, negativity, loneliness, disappointment, fog, and much more.

Serotonin levels can by increased with:

  • Banana
  • Behavior Balance-DMG: a gluten-free, yeast-free supplement from DaVinci Lab - 1-800-325-1776 .
  • Ayurvedic (Indian) Sattva Plant: Food as medicine for the mind and body
  • Organic foods highly recommended
The Sattvic emphasis on complex carbohydrates and dairy products promotes brain chemistry rich in tryptophan, serotonin, and melatonin, and other specific foods. When these substances are abundant in the body, they promote deep sleep, calmness, strong immunity, and a relaxed, focused mind, all of which are Sattvic qualities.

tumericDid you know that Turmeric builds blood, cleans blood, moves blood, prevents joint pain and inflammation? It is one of the greatest herbs used by yogis for millennia and it excels at protecting the joints and connective tissues, lessening the risk of injury. In the same way, it will allow a massage therapist to go deeper into her practice. :-)

Did you know that by giving a rusty tool a vinegar bath, soaking it over night in cider vinegar and wiping away the residue with a cloth, you may find it's as good as new?

Pinch your plants for healthier blooms. When you buy plants already with flowers, it's hard to nip them off. But your plants will be prettier if you pinch them back. Remove the top portion of the main branches just above a leaf or pair of leaves for more compact, bushier plants.

Did you know that red tulips were given in Persia as a way to declare love? The black center of the red tulip was said to represent the lover's heart, burned to coal by love's passion. To give a yellow tulip was to declare your love hopelessly and utterly. :-)

CATS & DOGS - Constipation

Constipation is usually a problem of dryness, qi, heat or stagnation. A deficiency of fluid from blood or yin (foundation/genetics), which causes dryness in the colon, usually comes from an imbalance in the lungs, liver or stomach. Animals with this condition are thirsty and often have dry, dandruff-like skin. Weak qi (life energy) from the spleen/pancreas and stomach causes sluggish digestion, fatigue and no desire to try to pass stool.

As a remedy for constipation, licorice stimulates the spleen and qi (life energy) of the body. Avoid if your animal is hypertensive. Recommended dosages as tincture, mixing 10 drops in 1 once water:

  • Cats/small dogs - 1 droperful daily
  • Medium dog - 2 dropperful daily
  • Large dog - 2 to 3 dropperful daily
