We wanted to take a minute and update you on all of the happenings this Memorial Weekend on Ram Cat Alley and in Downtown Seneca.  The City puts on a great event, Seneca Fest, with something for everyone.  We hope you can join us this weekend!

5th Annual Seneca Fest 2011

 Seneca Fest

 

 

Thursday May 26th

 

Jazz on the Alley-Beginning at 6:30 The group Legacy will be performing Beach Music on Ram Cat Alley until 9:00pm .  The Spot will be serving food and drinks outside during the event.  Shaggers welcomed!  

 

 

Friday May 27th 

 

Art On Main- 1:00pm until 9:00pm Over twenty vendors displaying and selling art work on Ram Cat Alley. Art on Main will continue Saturday until  5:00pm Saturday.

The Blue Ridge Arts Center is organizing this portion of Seneca Fest.

Cruise In-5:00pm until 10:oo pm  If you are into classic cars enjoy a stroll through the Norton-Thompson Park parking lot (next to Bergen's) and check out the large selection of classic cars on display.


Main Stage-4:30pm until 10:00pm Located in the Norton-Thompson Park, there will be various live music acts.

Saturday May 28th

 

Begins with a 5k run at the Shaver complex.

 

At 10:00am vendors on the street will be open for business.   

 

BBQ Cook off- Noon until 5:00pm enjoy great BBQ with proceeds benefiting Education Foundation of Oconee County. 


(Be and sure to check out Zacks BBQ, we are sponsoring them again this year.  They are the winner of the Peoples Choice Award the last two years!)

Main Stage-11:30pm until 10:00pm Located in the Norton-Thompson Park, there will be various live music acts.

Lunney House Museum-1:00pm until 5:00pm Walk through some fascinating Seneca history with a visit to the historical

Lunney House Museum.

Jazz on the Alley-4:00pm until 6:00pm on Ram Cat Alley  

with BH Trio.  This trio played last week...five stars!

Note that this event will be at the opposite end of Ram Cat Alley than usual.  The Spot will not be providing tables or service outside at this event.


Seneca Fest will close out with a firework display at 10:00pm Saturday night.

The Spot Stuff

 

The Spot will be open our regularly scheduled hours including Monday, May 30th, Memorial Day. (We're closed Sundays.)
To accommodate pedestrians, Ram Cat Alley will be closed to motor vehicles beginning Thursday at 5:00pm until6:00pm Saturday.  Convenient parking will be available behind The Spot.

Whether you are dining in or calling in for a carry-out check out our specials:

Friday and Saturday our special will be home made Chicken Salad served on your choic of Wheat, Rye, Texas Toast or Pita Bread.  We also can serve it on gluten-free bread. (Yes, we will have Fish & Chips on Friday with your choice of cat fish or flounder).

Doesn't this look like fun!
There will be helicopter tours available.  You can catch the helicopter at the Seneca Library.  The rides are about 10-15 minutes long and provide you with a spectacular view of Lake Keowee and the mountains.

 

Bouncy Things

Haven't had one blow away yet!

No, they didn't forget about the kids.  There will be FREE bouncy things in the park that the kids can wear themselves out with.
