Liz graduated from the University of Alabama in 2011 with a degree in Public Relations. She served in the Youth Family this past year while part of the TFCA Fellows' Program. HUNGRY FOR GOD

Dear Cornerstone,
Ever been angry or frustrated with God . . . Or wanted to give thanks but weren't sure how . . . or concerned about friends and wanted to talk to God about them . . . or new to this whole knowing Jesus thing and wanted to know how to talk to him? Then I want you to join us this summer at 'Hungry For God'.
A few weeks back I invited you, at Cherrydale Baptist, to join us in this month-long endeavor we call 'Hungry For God'. It's a series of looking in the Bible to learn more about God, ourselves, and what it means to both be loved and to love him. This summer we are spending a month learning about and practicing different types of Prayer.
Our month will be simple (daily time with God in July, gathering together once a week to share and learn from one another), yet transformational. We'll look at 16 different passages where people are talking honestly to God, and then apply what we learn in our own prayer lives. We'll gather July 8, 12, 19, 26, and August 2 at Little Falls Presbyterian to share, all generations.
Our month will be inexpensive; a booklet of Bible studies, snacks, and a CD will only be $15 (if you need financial assistance you can email me to ask at dmiller@tfcanglican.org).
Our month will be multi-generational; people your age up to people in their eighties. We need you to join us, both to share what you are learning and to be blessed by older Christians who would be thrilled to have you there.
Our month of 'Hungry For God' travels; you can take the booklets with you on vacation, listen to the CD in the car, listen online to the teaching, so even if you miss a week or two you can still be a part.
You can register for 'Hungry For God' at tfcagrow.org, for only $15. I'd love to have at least 30 teenagers from Cornerstone join us . . . grab your small group, register, and let's do this together.

During this time of transition, most of the Youth Ministry staff is working from home, Starbucks, or other random places. The main administrative offices of the church have taken up residence in 150 S. Washington St, Suite 100, which is where our Youth Ministry office previously was. However, I (Marti Alderfer, the Youth Ministry Admin Asst) am actually back at the 150 S. Washington office site. You are welcome to drop off any forms or payments here, or just stop by and say "HI"! Because of the transition and financial burdens of the church, we currently have no more scholarship funds available. We welcome contributions to our scholarship fund which enables students with difficult financial circumstances to participate in trips and Fusion. Make checks payable to The Falls Church Anglican and note Youth Ministry scholarship fund in the Memo line. Thank you.
We have been experiencing many people registering late for events and trips. Our deadlines exist for many great reasons including: financial obligations to make the program happen, ability to plan and execute excellent programs, and other time sensitive matters. Late fees will be added to all trips, with many having final dates with no additions possible. We do our best to have things publicized in a timely manner and all forms available in multiple formats. Please make sure they arrive to the office before the deadline, NOT postmarked on the deadline.
We covet your prayers for patience and wisdom in this transition, for logistics -as much of our office is packed away in storage, for communication- with students, parents, each other and the rest of the TFCA staff, and most of all, please pray that we would always keep Christ and the students/people ahead of program!
