God has brought us a wonderful woman to serve in the role of Cornerstone Coordinator. Liz Price will be starting with Fun in The Son, working full time with the high school girls and female volunteer leaders. Liz graduated from University of Alabama, Roll Tide!, with a degree in Public Relations. She spent the last year as a Fellow with the TFCA Fellows program, working at the American Bible Society, and volunteering with a Junior Girls Small Group. Send her a welcome email! |

Girls Bible Study

All rising 7th-9th grade girls are invited to join a girls' Bible study this summer starting on June 19th and ending on August 14th. We'll be studying the life of Hannah in 1 Samuel, using a book called "Hannah's One Wish" by Kelly Minter. The Bible study will meet at Betsy's house 6264 18th Street N, Arlington, VA 22205. Greetings!
It truly has been an extraordinary school year of ministry. We would like to thank all of the parents who have supported the ministry by making a meal(s) for Youth Family, helped serve Crossroads/Cornerstone dinners, or donated other forms of time, energy, money so that the youth might grow in Christ.
We also want to CONGRATULATE the seniors who are entering into a new time of their lives as they move on from Cornerstone into college, work or other walks. We hope that the College Ministry will provide a place for you to continue to connect and grow in Christ. We always love to hear from you!
During this time of transition, the Youth Ministry staff is working from home, Starbucks, or other random places. The main administrative offices of the church have taken up residence in 150 S. Washington St, Suite 100. Please mail all registrations with payment by check to:

The best way to contact the staff is via emails, and check the website for up-to-date information. Our office phones are no longer in operation. Our new youth office number will be 571-282-0300 and should be operational by the end of the month. Because of the transition and financial burdens of the church, we currently have no scholarship funds available. We are hoping to restart the scholarship fund with funds raised at the CarWash.
We have been experiencing many people registering late for events and trips. Our deadlines exist for many great reasons including: financial obligations to make the program happen, ability to plan and execute excellent programs, and other time sensitive matters. Late fees will be added to all trips, with many having final dates with no additions possible. We do our best to have things publicized in a timely manner and all forms available in multiple formats. Please make sure they arrive to the office before the deadline, NOT postmarked on the deadline.
We have many exciting things going on this summer.

The CarWash May 12th, 8am- 4pm
|
|  Come get clean!Got pollen, dirt, grime, a birthday present from a bird? Come to the Cornerstone/Crossroads CarWash to get your vehicles cleaned. The 6th-12th grade students are raising money for the middle school's Mission Trip to Chattanooga, the Scholarship Fund, and the Bluefields Feeding Program. They will be washing cars from 8am-4pm in the Upper Parking Lot on Broad St, across from Applebees. The students are collecting pledges per car, the more we wash the better! Sponsor a student and/or spread the word to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers!
Students, make sure you check-in to get credit for service hours, mission trips, or scholarships. Check-in table will be by the church entrance. Mike will assign you a station. Shifts for non-mission trip students, 8am-12pm and 12pm-4pm. If you want service hours you need to be there for an entire shift. Any students going on the Chattanooga Mission Trip MUST attend for the whole day in order to be eligible for scholarship funds.
If you are dropping off a student, do so in the parking lot next door, unless you want your car washed. We can use any old towels to help the drying process. |

8th Grade Welcome to Cornerstone

|  May 20th, 6pm-8:45pmWe will be welcoming all of the 8th graders to Cornerstone on May 20th. They can come directly from Crossroads at 6pm. We have some fun things to get them used to Cornerstone. They will be guided throughout the evening by current high schoolers and their leaders. They will remain with their current small groups and leaders. Pickup from Cornerstone is at 8:45pm. |

The students will join the rest of Crossroads at 5:15pm, and the parents will continue to meet with Jim until 6pm. Students will stay until 7pm. Welcome to Crossroads, 5th graders! |
