It's a Busy September at Vintages

Greetings!
Welcome to our September newsletter ... and it is a newsy one! We have a trip planned mid-month so we will close for a week or so. I'll be giving a presentation about stamp collecting on the 19th and our vintage jewelry class starts early October. We have added quite a few new items, both handmade and antique. Susan has introduced a line of steampunk necklaces, some wonderful handmade magnets and beautiful glass paper weights.

Vintages will be closed
September 4th through 12th
We will be closed for a short vacation from right after Labor Day (Sept 4th) through the following Wednesday (Sept 12th). We will re-open on Thursday (Sept 13th). Susan's Latest Creations
 Susan has been busy creating some new designs for you. These steampunk necklaces are fashioned from vintage watch parts, rhinestone buckles, pieces of old lace, whatever. Any way you look at them, they are terrific!

New Arrivals
We have received a lot of new products in the last few weeks. We now have Carol Roeda's fall and holiday collection of decorative magnets ... great for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our 2013 calendars are here! These desk calendars feature vintage postcard images of San Francisco, Paris, London and more. Another new addition are leather covered flasks for men and women. Also, we have a new shipment of reading glasses that come in Italian leather cases. And more items - handmade, gifts and antiques - are on the way!

 Our latest antique class, Collecting Vintage Jewelry, will be held on Tuesday nights, October 9th through November 6th. Set aside the dates, sign-up and plan to join us. More information ... Registration is now open through the LGS Recreation site. |

Mixed Media Presentation for San Jose Stamp Club
Bob will be the guest speaker at the September meeting of the San Jose Stamp Club. Bob's presentation will be about using Mixed-Media Techniques For Enhancing Stamp Collection Displays. The meeting begins at 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 19th, at Hilltop Manor, 790 Ironwood Drive, San Jose.

These small objects of adornment provided the finishing touch to the embellishment rituals of the most refined ladies of the 19th century. The exhibit is from the Bilgi Kenber Collection, Paris, France.
