Last week, we sent home with your children a flyer for our upcoming Summer Camp program during the month of July. We ask that you response as soon as possible (June 1) so we can place our order for supplies and get staffing in place. If you need a new application, please ask. |

Welcome Yoko Tamori
Japanese Language Teacher
We are very happy to introduce to you, Yoko Tamori who will be joining our summer camp program. Yoko has agreed to come in one day each week to begin the introduction of the Japanese language, the art of Japan and some of their festivals to your children.
Yoko has an extensive background in teaching her culture and language to people of all ages, She has worked with children from preschool age all the way up to senior citizens. A majority of her teaching was in the Bellingham area while attending Western Washington University. After collage, Yoko and her husband moved to New York where she continued her teaching endeavors. After returning to the Northwest, Yoko has worked with the Bainbridge High School students assisting them with their language skills and raising her two young children.
Yoko plans to offer Japanese Classes after school in the fall using ICMS facillity and offering two classes where the children learn the language, the culture and the art of Japan.

Bring your lunch, your scientific wonderment and sense of adverture to join us for a fun-filled
week of galactic games, cosmic crafts and space exploration.
Come make kites, airplaces, space crafts and have a world of fun up in the air.
The sky is the limit in this action-packed camp!

Dig In!
Get Down & Dirty!
July 18 - 21st 10am - 2pm
Bring your lunch and let's play with dirt! Come play with plants, dance with butterflies and taste the wonders of the garden. Learn where and how do flowers, vegetables, and fruits grow. Meet some of the friendly creatures in our gardens. We will even build our own compost bin to use throughout the school year!
All crafts and activities will have a garden theme.

At the end of the week we will enjoy an "organic" snack that we prepare together.
Come expereince the wonders of the garden...and maybe get a little dirty.

Splash Around!
Dive into the Deep!
July 25 - 28th 10am - 2pm
Bring your lunch and let's explore the bottom of the sea together. Who lives on the bottom? Who lives in the cold waters? Are they friendly or foe? We will dive in together to explore, do crafts and play games.
Water-based science and crafts will keep the future marine biologist busy all day.
If you'd like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden, this camp is for you!
