Hendricks families are invited to attend the star-studded annual Reading with the Stars! Children are encouraged to wear pajamas (no slippers please) and join the fun starting in the auditorium. After milk and cookies, families will be able to visit several of our star readers around the school campus. Some of our star readers include a a police sergeant, a Scout master, a children's book author, several special characters and much more. Children must come with a parent or other responsible adult. No sign up is necessary. Don't miss this fun family event. We need greeters, refreshment servers and room monitors. Please contact Jane Courtney Davis to volunteer. |

F.A.I.R. Testing for K-2
Learn More at these Meetings
Parents and caregivers of children who are in kindergarten, first and second grade are invited to learn more about the updates to the Student Progression Plan, and how the State's Florida Assessment for Instruction in Reading (F.A.I.R.) is used to identify students' instructional needs in reading in order to read at or above grade level.
School District employees will be in attendance to answer questions and facilitate the community conversation around F.A.I.R, summer learning opportunities for students who do not score at or above 54% on the PRS (Probability of Reading Success). Parents and caregivers will learn ways to help their child to be a better reader.
Join us at any of the four locations from 5:30-7 p.m.
- February 27: South East Regional Branch Library
- March 26: West Regional Branch Library
- April 30: Main Branch Library - Downtown
