It's Not Too Late!

Support HAEPTA's One Major Fundraiser, Innisbrook

It's not too late to participate in HAEPTA's only major fundraiser, Innisbrook, and help us to reach our goal of $36,000. A wide assortment of products - from gift-wrapping to chocolates -  are available. To make it easier for students and families to participate, Innisbrook provides a pre-designed email that you can send to out of town family and friends for online shopping.

Don't forget: In lieu of purchasing products, everyone is able to make a donation directly to HAEPTA. For those donations, please make checks payable to HAEPTA and include in the orange/brown envelope provided in your student's Innisbrook packet. Each student with a total of $50 in donations will be eligible for the Silly String party with Coach McGlynn.

Please shop Innisbrook and help raise funds to support the wonderful programs, special events and projects that your children love! The sale wraps up Friday, October 7.

Hendricks' New

Art Teacher

Greetings from

Ms. Laura Barauskas

Thank you for purchasing an additional day of art! It is my pleasure working with your children as their new Art Resource teacher. I come to you with 15 years experience working for Duval County Public Schools. Hendricks Elementary is one of the finest schools in which I have ever worked! I am looking forward to meeting all of you throughout the year and teaching your children. It is my hope that I exceed your expectations in bringing out the talent in your children and giving them an appreciation for the fine arts.

Sincerely,

Ms. Laura Barauskas, Art Resource Teacher

Family Fitness Night Recap

Thanks to Our Outstanding Volunteers

What fun it was to see so many of the Hendricks community at HAEPTA's Family Fitness Night. The event was enjoyed by all and the weather was perfect! Thank you to the many parent volunteers who made the evening possible. Without your help, the night would have not been a success! Thanks to all who bought a snow cone, bottle of water, or gatorade. Your support of the PE program, LOTs and Safety Patrols was greatly appreciated.

Take Pride in Your School

Campus Clean-up Day: November 6

It's been a dry, hot summer - but fall is here! Our first campus weed & clean day will be Sunday, November 6 from 2-4 p.m. -- be on the lookout for details soon.

Please be mindful to not drive through the lawn of our backyard campus (area where we pick up K-1st graders). Driving on the lawn damages the grass and roots of the trees - it also makes the lawn look yucky!

Thank you for your help and support! Happy Fall!

Giving Back

Gently used Hendricks T-shirts Wanted

Do you have clean, gently used Hendricks T-shirts that your children have outgrown? Please bring them for us to share with those who need a change of clothes or simply cannot afford to buy one. Old and new Hendricks logo design gratefully accepted. Donations can be made at the main office. Thank you

At Hendricks Avenue Elementary School, students receive more than the standard education that our district's funds can provide. The school's standard of excellence is made possible not only by its dedicated teachers and staff but through the efforts of you and your HAEPTA.
