Dear ,

Tapered ad imageWe are very excited to announce the launch of the Neoss Tapered Implant to the US market. The tapered implant system incorporates the same proven surface as our Neoss ProActive® implant and the same surgical kit as the current system in addition to the "one platform" connection. tapered_newNEOSS TAPERED IMPLANT

The NEW Neoss Tapered Implant which was launched to the U.S. market earlier this month, was developed based on customer feedback and expert engineering.

"Our aim is to provide dentists with a simple solution to placing dental implants,' says co-founder and CTO, Fredrik Engman. "The Neoss Tapered Implant uses many of the same components as the current Neoss ProActive® Implant as well as a simplified drilling system that will provide the dentist greater flexibility in handling all patients."  The Neoss Tapered Implant was developed by Neoss in collaboration with Dr Kenji Higuchi and Prof. John Brunski.

Some of the features of the Neoss Tapered Implant are:

  • The apical profile aids placement in soft bone or where there are narrow roots or walls
  • Conical coronal flange with additional threads is designed for stability and faster healing in extraction sites
  • The rounded tip protects the sinus floor membrane

Some of the benefits of the Neoss Tapered Implant
  • The Neoss Tapered Implant has the ProActive® surface, and all the features included in the ProActive implant.
  • Optimal combination of tapered geometry and secondary cutting face
  • The single platform abutment/implant interface is designed to optimize soft tissue support through what is known as platform switching (Ø4.0-Ø5.5 mm)
  • All prosthetic components in the Neoss system are compatible with both the Neoss Tapered and Neoss ProActive® Implants

The assortment will initially be available in Ø3.5, 4, 4.5 & 5 mm diameter width, with the addition of Ø5.5 in the fall. All you need to get started in addition to the implants are up to 5 drills, 5 optional countersinks, an x-ray planner for tapered implants and a tapered organizer. See the drill protocol & drill depth guide below to determine which items to add to your existing kit.

Customer Highlights & Case Feedback

Shankar Iyer, DDS, MDS - May 2012
"I have been using the Neoss Tapered implants during the past 9 months and I have found it to be user friendly and predictable. The streamlined components make it easier for the restorations as well. The gravity defying surface seems to ensure a good biologic interface at the time of insertion."
- Shankar Iyer, DDS, MDS, Elizabeth, NJ
