I just returned from New York fashion week and am incredibly inspired by the new things shipping now for Spring and summer as well as what will be shipping in the fall. Color is the name of the game for spring and summer, a refreshing change from the neutrals we have been seeing. We have new arrivals coming every week from Nic & Zoe, Eileen Fisher, Lafayette 148, Johnny Was and more. Look for color in footwear from Donald Pliner, Gentle Souls, French Soles New York as well. Mix it up and have fun!
My first impression of fall fashion is Yipes, stripes! There will be plaids as well, bold and subtle. Ponchos and capes will be back as well. I was excited to see this as it is a fashion statement that never goes out of style. But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, after all we are just coming into spring.
