Celebrates the Heritage of

Southeastern North Carolina

Throughout 2011 you'll have the opportunity to learn about the people and events which formed the foundation of this fantastic place-by-the-sea that we live in today.  Every day life as well as earth shattering moments of the era are related, as stories of the 1800s unfold: times of war, peace, slavery, freedom,  women during the civil war,  foods, "modern" transportation, marriage and courtship customs, and much more.   Watch www.poplargrove.com for upcoming information about these fantastic opportunties to learn and appreciate our ancestral heritage.

Join us for the lives and times of pioneers,

founders, and ancestors through the cherished words, items and traditions they left behind.
