September 10th - Green Oak Park! 2010
Green Oak Park! is an annual event that brings together community members to promote and learn about green and healthy lifestyles. This year's free event will feature a green community art project, locally grown food provided by Soil Born Farms; CFL bulb exchange sponsored by SMUD; a healthy cooking demonstration by the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op; a tour of a LEED-Certified home from Sacramento Habitat for Humanity; and examples of green building and design by Green Sacramento.
Green Oak Park! is still accepting sponsorships and partnerships. Sponsorships can be cash or in-kind. Please link to our sponsorship page for more information here. Green Youth Leadership Team
The Green Youth Leadership Team will be leading several activities at the event including a green inspired performance, youth yoga class, educational opportunities, raffles and giveaways, and other activities.

Musical Artist Kevin Sandbloom
Acclaimed guitar innovator Kevin Sandbloom will showcase his talents at this year's Green Oak Park! Mr. Sandbloom will perform at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Oak Park United Methodist Church, 3600 Broadway, Sacramento (Outdoors).

Habitat for Humanity LEED House Tours
As part of this year's event, Ubuntu Green is excited to partner with Sacramento Habitat for Humanity to sponsor tours of an LEED Certified home in Oak Park. The home is equipped with solar panels through a grant from PG&E and received its LEED certification with a grant from Home Depot.
Tours of the home will depart from the Oak Park United Methodist Church, 3600 Broadway, at 5:45 and 6:45 p.m.
