When I told Stephanie, my wife, what was going on at work and how stressful it had become, I was surprised by her answer.
She didn't panic at the thought of me leaving my job. Instead, she said: "Sometimes we have to be forced to do what's good for us."
And one by one, friends and family stepped forward to express support.
Tulani, my 22-year-old daughter, said: "You're either figuring out your calling and abiding by that, or you're not."
And on Christmas day, one woman who had previously donated $100 to the film, emailed me to say that she intends to send a contribution of $1,000 or more because she firmly believes Across The King's River will be an important documentary! That email "blew me away." After I read it, I arose from the couch and started pacing around in the kitchen, deep in thought. I felt humbled and inspired all at once. Who knows what will happen when YOU fully submit to your vision! When it's time to make a change you'll know it because the entire universe will speak to you in a consistent voice. That's what my experience is leading me to believe.
And once you pay attention to the signs, you'll be led to a place where you can be of greater service to humanity. Is it risky? Of course! But it's also risky to reject opportunities to grow year, after year, after year.
And so...I'm heading into the unknown. Until our next time! James Weeks Producer, Across The King's River
P.S. For a tax deductible contribution of only $50.00, you can get your name in the credits of this visionary film. |
