Wow, this summer is flying by!  Hope yours is lovely and relaxing!

We could not have asked for a better time and event at The Oakleaf...thank you everyone!!  We are holding the next Pecha Kucha....uh, TONIGHT!  It's going to be a blast...with some very fun people (might we say, characters....) presenting.  We'd love to see you at the Back Bar of Top of the Hill in Chapel Hill for a lot of fun!

We are in high gear for the FIFTH ANNUAL PEPPER FESTIVAL!  It's going to be amazing this year...we'll keep you posted with all the activities, chefs, brewers and some surprises!

Our Ambassadors of Abundance  have committed to giving every month with any dollar amount ranging from $5 to over $100 in order to help us keep moving toward our mission. Please consider becoming a monthly sustaining donor, read more about the perks, and make your commitment here.

Burger Contest!
Carolina Brewery
Carolina Brewery is turning 5 years old in Pittsboro and to celebrate, they are having a burger contest...
  August 5-11 they will feature on their menu the top 6 recipes that have been submitted, and allow customers to vote!
The People's Choice Award wins a $100 gift card to Carolina Brewery.  On August 11th @ 5pm, the Burger Contest Cook Off will be held Iron Chef-style on the patio in Pittsboro with local celebrity judging.  *The winner receives a BBQ grill and will have their burger on the menu!  Proceeds of the burger sales will go to Abundance!  So, GO EAT BURGERS!  **FOR Vegans AND Vegetarians, there are wonderful vegetarian and vegan burgers!
