Is July 4th really less than 2 weeks away? Are the figs already ripening and the peppers already changing colors? Well, hold onto your popsicles because it is officially summer time! 

Our Local Food and Renewable Energy Summer Camp is coming up on July 9-13th and we couldn't be more excited about all the amazing volunteers and educators involved. This is going to be a very memorable outdoor learning experience for everyone! Food, green energy projects, fort-building, tree ID'ing, medicinal herbs, music, art, dance, chess, and so much more! Check out the sample schedule here. 

Our Ambassadors of Abundance have committed to giving every month with any dollar amount ranging from $5 to over $100 in order to help us keep moving toward our mission. Please consider becoming a monthly sustaining donor, read more about the perks, and make your commitment here.

We are so excited to introduce Mary DeMare as a new staff member of Abundance!

There's something about Mary.....
Mary comes to us with extensive experience in organizing, bookkeeping, running a tight ship and community building.  Mary will be doing all sorts of things from financials to fiscal sponsorship to workshop coordination.  And the best part is that she likes to dress up...so she fits right in.

With all the July 4th festivities happening, we have postponed the next Pecha Kucha Night to August 6th, 2012! Get your presentations ready for submission by July 25th!

Brendan and his talented staff at Oakleaf restaurant in Pittsboro will be generously providing the ambiance for the event and all food served will be created from fresh ingredients found at Chatham Mills Farmer's Market.

Admission to the event includes:
