O' Abundant Ones,

We hope your holiday season is full of generosity, lots of egg nog and all things fun! Thanks again for helping support us during our most prosperous year yet!

We count on donations from the folks in our local community to sustain our work educating youth and adults on renewable energy, local food systems and DIY skills. If you are interested in h
elping our amazing educational programs thrive next year (or need to improve your tax issues!?), there are at least 3 ways to give!!
  1. If you would like to support us with your dollars by making a tax-deductible donation to Abundance Foundation this year, we'll gladly put your investment to good work.
  2. We like snail mail too! If you prefer, you may send us a check made out to the Abundance Foundation to 220 Lorax Lane #5, Pittsboro, NC, and we will surely dance next time we check our mailbox!
  3. If you want to get involved in any of the workshops, programs or events as a volunteer, please email us!

We wish you, your family and loved ones a safe and healthful and happy New Year. May you be blessed with good food and even better company as 2011 comes to a close and we charge out of the gates into twenty-twelve!

So many wonderful people came together to help us put on many educational workshops and community-building events in Chatham County this year. As we look back at the year's photos and a few photos from way back, we feel such gratitude for all the people in our lives.
DIY Sustainability Workshops expanding to Alamance County!!

Starting in Feburary, Abundance Foundation will be bringing food-related DIY workshops to Alamance County! Many thanks to TS Designs, Company Shops Market and the Hayden-Harman Foundation for making this all possible! We are always looking to increase our impact by leveraging the ripple effect, and the great folks in Alamance County totally get that!

Carol Hewitt of Slow Money NC is deeply touched by the generous donations which came in rapid fire in the past few weeks! She is looking forward to bringing Slow Money fast and furious across North Carolina next year!

Slow Money NC is working hard to finance our local foodshed, one Slow Money loan at a time. Read all about it, join Slow Money NC today, and then make your pledge to become a Slow Money lender!
Coming this Spring:
2nd Annual Chatham County Schools Chef Challenge!!

The Chef Challenge is all about bringing healthy, local food to Chatham County public schools' kids and families prepared by 3 of the area's most talented chefs! Along the way we all learn something new about the USDA, what it's like to work in a public school cafeteria, and how the Chatham PTA is working tirelessly to improve the health and fitness of its youth. Onward and upward, always! We are anticipating a fabulous year with some exciting news to be announced in January! For last year's info, click here.
