Arizona Restaurant Week Review: Orange Sky at Talking Stick

Highlights of the meal:

Frankly, I will go out on a limb and say, Orange Sky is the most beautiful restaurant in Arizona. The ambiance, views and setting alone makes it a one-of-a-kind. The icing on the cake? The food is excellent is well.

Harvest Restaurant in Tucson is a hip and trendy joint that attracts a mixture of age ranges and types of patrons.
Highlights of the Menu: Harvest cooked with  fresh ingredients and had a seasonal menu. They sourced their ingredients from local suppliers which is good for the Arizona economy. I was famished upon arrival.

Our waiter offered a lemon or lime with our water and we dug into the bread he placed on the table. It was accompanied with cherry butter that had chunks of cherry pulp in it. I'd never had butter like that before and it was one of the most wonderful items I have ever slathered on bread!

We are gigantic fans of Truckin' Good Food! Jeff Kraus and Erin Ware are two entrepreneurs with heart and soul all wrapped up in a Nutella-filled crepe.

They are competing to be part of next seasons "The Great Food Truck Race" on the Food Network, but they need your vote!

Following the dream hasn't been easy--due to some antiquated laws in Maricopa County, Arizona, Kraus was unable to serve food from a truck--instead, he cooked up his delicious crepe offerings in tents at various farmer's markets, festivals, and private events around the Phoenix metro area.

After working through all the laws and restrictions, they finally launched the T'GF food truck, affectionately named Mr. T, at the Ahwatukee Farmer's Market on July 11, 2010. In their dedication to help bring quality mobile food offerings to Phoenicians, Kraus and Ware recently launched the Phoenix Street Food Coalition  a resource for anyone that is interested in starting a mobile food business. They are committed to educating the community, as well as fellow business owners, about the mobile food culture.
