News From Hope Naturopathic Clinic
Greetings!
Christmas is coming, ready or not!  This can be a stressful time of year for body, soul and spirit, but it doesn't have to be.  If you've got everything and don't want any more stuff you need to find a home for, why not consider giving to groups like Compassion Australia
funny cowMy Sunday School class of 7-11 year olds were eager to do something to help other children less fortunate themselves after hearing the story of the Good Samaritan.  They decided to have a cake stall after church to raise some money.  They baked goodies at home and iced gingerbread men and Christmas trees I had made.  If we raised $12, we could get a mozzie net to help prevent malaria, and we would have been happy.  But the kids out did themselves, and baked so much stuff, we needed two long tressles.  They managed to raise $255.  They are so excited because they have been able to buy a cow for $245, and toothbrushes for $10.

To keep your good habits in the lead up to Christmas, don't give yourself permission put on weight.  Sometimes we start partying
well before Christmas and indulging in alcohol and other goodies, both sweet and savoury.  If you can try to limit the party food to one or two days, eat what ever you like, then get back on track, you should be fine.  Consider putting goodies out of sight to help you avoid grazing all day and not eating proper meals.

Please organise to pick up your supplements and herbals before we close for Christmas so you have enough to last you until we re-open again.
