Greetings!
Happy New Year. Hope the year is off to a great start for you and your family. We've enjoyed a relaxing break pottering around in the garden, doing some jigsaws and sorting some quilting material. It's going to be a fantastic year. Have you set some goals for your health? If one of those goals is to lose some weight after Christmas, then why not give the Lose Weight For Life program a try. You can expect to lose about 1kg a week and keep it off. Visit the website to see all the details.
We've got an article about the benefits of CoQ10 for you this month. Also some advice on how to avoid seizing up. I realised after digging my sewing machine out after it's been idle for about 8 years, it just won't work. Something is jammed because it hasn't been used, so it's in for repairs. I'm also getting a lovely old treddle Singer sewing machine fixed at the same time. I've never used it, but for $20 in a garage sale, I had to have it! We've carted it from S.A. to Melbourne and back to Perth, so it's about time I used it. Our bodies are much the same as my sewing machines. Use it or lose it. You can read more about that below.
We've got a 10% off special for you at the bottom of the newsletter for 4 of our favourite products. Feel free to use it before it expires on the first of March.
 | | Eleanor in Cambodia |
Eleanor has been to Cambodia and visited the orpanage for a week and then enjoyed some sight seeing including an elephan ride. The team also did some repairs and electrical re-wiring of the orphanage. Eleanor was surprised at how happy the kids were. | | Flooded in at the station |
Kate lives 5 hours inland from Geraldton on a station. When the floods hit Carnarvon, the Gascoyne river flooded and they were stranded until the water receded. Thy had their food delivered by plane once the airstrip dried out. A boat washed up from somewhere, so they hopped in with the dogs and went for a look around. | | A boat washed up |

Avoid Siezing Up
 | | Singer Sewing Machine |
As we age and are no longer as active as we once were , we are all in danger of become stiff and inflexible, which leads to pain. After seeing hundreds of people in pain, there's a clear pattern. People who keep moving do better. They injure themselves less, and if they do, they recover more quickly.
There has been a recent study into aged care in Australia. It is predicted that 7 out of 10 "baby boomers" i.e. people born post WWII up to 1964, will be in an aged care facility. Does this appeal to you? If not, then start now, to maintain your strength and flexibility, and avoid being called "frail aged" before your time.
Help yourself by doing the following: 1. Walk several times a week 2. Stretch your muscles 3. Take fish oil to lubricate your joints and reduce inflammation. You need 6 capsules a day, or 5ml of liquid. 4. Sort out the mechanics of your spine - try Dorn Spinal Therapy, get your legs the same length and your vertebrae in the right place. There's no cracking or crunching and you usually only need half a dozen visits. 5. Manage your stress. Stress chemicals in our bodies can increase our pain. 6. Get rid of anger by forgiving old hurts and wrongs. Suppressed anger can show in our bodies as pain and tension. 7. Do something you enoy and relax. 8. Take a magnesium supplement to relax tense and tight muscles as well as calm the mind. 9. Take a bath in Epsom Salts (available in the cosmetic isle not the laundry isle, at the supermarket.)
These are not difficult things to do, but they are easy not to do because they're so simple and they require a lifestyle adjustment. Keep moving now for an active future.
You can call by and collect these products any time. You don't need an appointment.
