AppointmentWord of mouth is my best advertising! Share the running, fitness, and healthy love by telling your friends about the great things we do as a team.

For every NEW person you refer who signs up for a running class, bootcamp, or fitness program your name will be entered to win a brand new (still with that new iPod smell) 8GB iPod Touch.

The iPod Touch is not only a fantastic music player, but it comes with the Nike+ System installed (sensor not included, but $30 at any Apple Store). I'll even show you how to use it if you've never had one before!

Get Your Drink On (the run)
By Tory Klementsen

Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring, no matter what the season, we have to hydrate when we exercise. But how do we know WHAT to use and and HOW MUCH to drink.

Tina Hydrates Before St. Paddy's Dash
Tina Hydrating Before a Race
In general, we want to hydrate based on our exercise duration about 3-6 ounces of water every 15-20 minutes. For a short activity on a moderate to cool day that lasts less than an hour, you may not need to drink anything during, as long as you go into the activity hydrated, it isn't a high intensity activity, and you drink soon after.

However for activities longer than 30 minutes, for high intensity, or in warm to hot weather, hydration is absolutely essential!

Congratulations Journey Fitness Members!

Ready to Run a Half Marathon!

Congratulations to some, welcome to others!

Wendy and Jackie did a Relay at Danskin Triathlon this weekend and had a MARVELOUS time! Let's talk about more tris, ladies! It's great cross training, especially for runners. Both ladies RAN one leg of the tri!

Nicole is a TRUE triathlete and finished her third (or is it fourth???) triathlon at Danskin this weekend!

Shelley hit 25 pounds GONE FOREVER!

Dana started a walking program this week, and after a chaotic summer (good chaos) is ready for her next step into fitness for life!

Scotty and Amy leapt from the 5k class to the Base Builders class and have been running strong all three weeks!

Winner of the iPod will be announced next week! This week is the last week to get your referrals in!

If I missed your good news, TELL ME! I want to share!

"Too often we put more thought into what gas we put into our cars, than what fuel we put into our bodies. We have one irreplacable gift that we have been entrusted with; our bodies. Value your body. Nurture it. Love it...it is the only one you are ever going to get."
