Battling Bikini Season

It may not work at Club Med, but it works for me!
Tory at the Troika Half Ironman

...or how I gave up the two piece for a wetsuit.

If my women's magazines would have me believe anything this time of year, it is that I am a failure. Since February they have been promising me a bikini body if only I did these "five killer moves!"

As a Fitness Professional, I read these articles with a combination of interest and disgust. Interest because I'm always game to learn a new move to help me and my clients reach their goals. Disgust because the bill of goods I'm being sold is an empty promise. I finally decided, years ago, to give up the bikini and instead don swimgear that is a little more "me".
Congratulations Journey Fitness Members!

Halfway Done!
Erin in last year's Rock and Roll
Congratulations are in Order!

Amy H completed her YELLOW BELT test this week in karate, and all with 2 broken ribs and an oncoming bout of pneumonia. Healing prayers and congratulations are going out to you Amy!

Jane lost six inches in the last 4 weeks with her new fitness plan that includes long bike rides on her bike, Miss Molly..

Roy joined the Tuesday night group for a bike ride. If you remember he was in a serious bike accident in August, leaving him a little bike shy! It's been challenging for him to get back out there.

Kim and Amir celebrated their 10th anniversary this week by hiking on top of the world!

Bobbi has started jogging. She just joined bootcamp 3 weeks ago and has moved from walking to jogging, and from 2 days a week to 3. It's amazing how quickly our bodies adapt to fitness!
