Crop Report Inquiries

 

Tomorrow's USDA crop report promises to be significant.  Readers have requested that I forecast the USDA estimates in the past but, despite intense "screen monitoring," my results have lacked precision.  There are many other resources and market contacts willing to provide crop and price outlook.

  

Our mission is better served by presenting a perspective on market events to our readers. 

 

 

Five-Year USDA Export Projections

 

Last week the USDA's Federal Grain Inspection Service Advisory Committee met at the new research center in Kansas City. The exported grain budget projections in the chart below, "FGIS Tonnage (MMT)," may be of interest.
