Too Wet in Iowa on July 4th

This is probably the most directional week for new crop corn prices as they relate to weather.  You can almost count on one hand the times when Nebraska/Iowa farmers have been complacent about dry weather the first week in July.

Improving crop conditions in the western corn belt due to dry weather is atypical and makes it very difficult to engage in bullish scenarios for new crop corn.  This Friday the USDA will release its Supply/Demand report and we look forward to sharing our price projections while incorporating last week's government production numbers.
