"A known fundamental is a useless fundamental."

The above quote, from legendary CBOT grain trader Richard Dennis, can be applied to our earlier logic in expecting corn prices to overlook the adequate supply situation in the most recent USDA stocks (prior to planting).  The uncertainty surrounding the 2010 crop (yet to be assured) is a factor we believe can override many outside market influences.  However, with Monday's USDA crop planting release showing the corn crop is 50% planted, the "unknown air" is being replaced with market reality.  The fact that we made this information "public" on the heels of a new low price (for this year) on corn yesterday...is just not a good bullish sign.

We believe positions are unique to each person's risk bearing ability, marketing strategy and crop conditions, therefore we give no blanket recommendations. The risk of loss in trading commodities can be substantial, therefore carefully consider whether such trading is suitable for you in light of your financial condition.
