An Important Message About the New Pertussis Immunization Law!
Whooping cough (pertussis) has been widespread in California during 2010. California legislature recently passed Assembly Bill 354, which requires students who are entering 7th through 12th grade in the fall to be immunized against pertussis. All students entering grades 7-12 will be required to have a Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine booster and provide supporting documentation before their first day of the 2011-12 school year.  We are requesting that families have their students vaccinated with a Pertussis (Tdap) booster and bring booster documentation to the school office before June 1, 2011 to prevent any delays in enrollment for the fall. If you have any questions please visit www.shotsforschool.org

Parents:  Visit your closest CVS Pharmacy MinuteClinic for both child and adult pertussis vaccines:
- no appointment necessary
- open 7 days a week including evenings and weekends
- most insurance accepted
