4th Annual Beachcomber Music Awards
A celebration of music and the achievements of
Emerald Coast's most talented musicians and songwriters
When: Sunday, February 19, 2012 - 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Where: HarborWalk Village and surrounding music venues
HarborWalk Village and the surrounding music venues are proud to host the 4th Annual Beachcomber Music Awards at HarborWalk Village overlooking the Destin Harbor.
The Beachcomber Music Awards highlight the area's best music from rock, jazz fusion, pop and country, bluegrass to alternative genres. Over 30 local and regional music groups will be represented. Performances are free at all HarborWalk Village venues and start at 4pm.
Blue Lew's Groove, led by the charismatic southern blues man, Blue Lew, will start the show at the HarborWalk Village stage for our pre-awards show starting at 5 p.m.
The awards ceremony begins at 6 p.m. on the main stage, with Beachcomber Editor, Chris Manson hosting the festivities. "This is our fourth annual music awards and its the biggest one yet. We have lots of new categories, live performances on numerous stages, right here in the heart of Destin. The first thing I wanted to do when arriving in Destin, is recognize the great musicians who live and play here" Manson explained.
The ceremony will also include performances by this year's Best Singer-Songwriter nominees, Forrest Williams, Kelsey Anna, Homemadesoul, Chris Alvarado, and Ashli Rose. The Hall of Fame award will be presented by 2011 inductee nominee this year for Best Bassist, Billy Garrett.
The awards ceremony is hosted HarborWalk Village main stage at 6 p.m. The music continues throughout HarborWalk Village and after parties continue with performances by nominees at all HarborWalk Village venues, as well as the main stage. Emerald Coast music fans have voted on the winners online and in the The Beachcomber.

Forrest Williams Band
Nominated for Musician of the Year, Best Band, Best Male Vocalist, Best Keyboardist, Best Guitarist, and Best Singer/Songwriter. Performs at Tightlines from 4 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Forrest Williams will take part of the awards ceremony at 6 p.m. on the HarborWalk Village stage.
Blue Lew's Groove
Nominated for Best Band, Best Blues Artist, Best Jam Band
Performing at 5 p.m. on the HarborWalk Village stage.
Ashli Rose
Nominated for Best Female Vocalist and Best Singer/Songwriter
Performing at 6 p.m. on the HarborWalk Village stage and at Poppy's Crazy Lobster at 7 p.m.
Kelsey Anna
Nominated for Best Female Vocalist, Best Singer/Songwriter and Best Original Song

Hot Lava featuring Dave Posey, Nominee for Musician of the Year and Best Instrumentalist, performing on the HarborWalk Village stage at 7 p.m.
