Blues, Brews & BBQ

A Culinary Challenge

 

HarborWalk Village and Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association's (FRLA) Northwest Florida Chapter is looking to fire it up on November 12, 2011. They are seeking participating restaurants to compete in this lively and fun competition to fire up their grills for a great time and a good cause at the annual Blues, Brews & BBQ at HarborWalk Village.

  

Taking home the 2010 trophy and the bragging rights at last year's event were Great Southern Café for Best Seafood BBQ; The Pensacola Fish House for Most Unique/Creative/Originality; Legendary Emerald Grande for Best Traditional Taste/Flavor and The Shed Barbeque and Blues Joint for Best Booth and People's Choice.

 

The FRLA will host a craft beer tasting and creative BBQ competition. Wristbands will be sold for $20 for guests to sample the sumptuous BBQ and craft beers, with all proceeds benefiting FRLA's Prostart educational program, supporting the next generation of hospitality professionals. The amazing "Sauce Boss" will be performing on the main stage at HarborWalk Village. He will be cooking up his fresh gumbo on stage for his audiences, all for free, while simultaneously playing his own swampy blues.  At the end of the show, everyone eats. The event is sponsored by Emerald Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau, Pepsi and Goldring Gulf Distributing.
