WHAT: 2011 Blues Brews and BBQ Festival A Dockside Beer Tasting and BBQ Cook Off! Hosted by the Northwest Florida Chapter
WHEN: Saturday, November 12th, 2011 / 12-4 pm
WHERE: HarborWalk Village, Destin
WHY: Support of the FRLA Northwest Florida Chapter's goals and mission to serve as a resource for the hospitality industry and to support our educational initiatives & scholarships for FRLA Pro-Start Culinary Programs.
Participating restaurants will have the opportunity to market their fare to over 200 guests and compete in a spirited and fun competition. Restaurants will compete in several categories and offer samples of creative BBQ styles (not necessarily the traditional pork, beef or ribs) and signature coastal food. Breweries will offer 25+ refreshing craft beers and cocktails. The fun afternoon will feature "tasting stations" where guests can experience your food, LIVE entertainment, cold beverages all against the backdrop of the Destin harbor.
Guest celebrity judges will judge the competition, guaranteed to be fun and lively cook-off event. Prizes will be awarded to top winners in categories consisting of:
* BEST TRADITIONAL BBQ
* MOST UNIQUE BBQ
* BEST SEAFOOD BBQ
* MOST CREATIVE BOOTH
For our members only- A VIP lounge overlooking the Destin Harbor, allowing us a private area to mix and mingle with fellow chapter members.
The perfect blend of everything FUN about Fall on the coast: great food, fun live entertainment, and refreshing craft beers and cocktails.
* A 10 x 10 tent, linen, electric, serving staff, utensils will be provided. * Please be prepared for 200 + guests. * Set up begins at 9:00 am
