HarborWalk Village Rolls Out The
3rd Annual "MARDI GRAS ON THE HARBOR"
 Saturday, February 26, 2010 at 2 p.m.

 

DESTIN, Fl. -   Laissez les bons temps rouler at HarborWalk Village! Let the good times roll at the Third Annual "Mardi Gras on the Harbor" 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 26th, 2011.

The festive parade will make its way down the Destin harbor and through the crowds at HarborWalk Village. The finale is a post parade party, zydeco jam and award celebration. The crowds can mix it up with a high octane Hurricane at Jesters, sample tasty Creole cooking at Crazy Lobster, and dance to authentic zydeco, and dixieland jazz in the HarborWalk Village's amphitheater. You'll experience Louisiana-like revelry at the largest and most vibrant celebration this side of Bourbon Street.

HarborWalk Village welcomes the public and is now recruiting individuals, civic organizations, community groups and Mardi Gras Krewe's to participate in this exciting parade. Entries for the event will participate in a contest with awards going to the top entries. The best overall float will receive a luxurious 3-night getaway at the Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village. The community based parade is open to the public and will accept entries that roll, float, pedal, and push. From golf carts and go-carts to shopping carts, all are welcome.  The $10.00 entry fee will benefit Destin Harvest.

 A non-perishable food donations will be encouraged by all parade participants and will be collected by participating HarborWalk Village merchants.

Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011- HarborWalk Village "Mardi Gras on the Harbor Parade" is set to roll at 2:00 p.m.

Monday, March 7, 2011- Lundi Gras- King Cakes and Cocktails with HarborWalk Village Merchants at 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, March 8, 2011-  HarborWalk Village's Fat Tuesday Freebie! FREE Red Beans and Rice Bash from 5:00 p.m. sponsored by The Crazy Lobster
