Virginia Corporate Income Tax Study
The 2009 Virginia General Assembly directed staff of the Joint Legislative Audit & Review Commission (JLARC) to evaluate Virginia's corporate income tax system and to report their findings in November of this year.
JLARC is a credible oversight agency of the Virginia General Assembly, established to conduct independent, nonpartisan research on State policies and programs. They have reached out to us in an effort to complete their work - on time.
To obtain as much business input as possible, JLARC is administering an online survey of Virginia companies. The survey asks questions about (1) the simplicity, equitability, and appropriateness of the State's corporate income tax system, (2) the extent to which it affects economic development, and (3) options that Virginia could consider to improve its tax structure.
Please take the time to complete this important survey and make your voice heard! Completing the survey should take only 10 to 20 minutes. Initial responses were due earlier, but JLARC has extended the survey deadline until this Friday, July 9, 2010.
