Scenario Planning 101
Wednesday September 29th from Noon to 1:30 p.m.
The Webinar will provide an Introduction to Scenario Planning, discuss the new "FHWA Scenario Planning Guidebook", and provide an overview of the available scenario planning tools, process steps, and examples from around the country. 

Speakers include the Chittenden County MPO, representatives from the FHWA Office of Planning, Environment and Realty, the FHWA Resource Center, and the USDOT Volpe Center.  The Webinar will include time for questions and answers on the topic.  The intended audience is planners from FHWA Division Offices, State Departments of Transportation, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, Rural Planning Organizations, and other interested parties seeking an introduction to scenario planning.

The guidebook offers best practice to implement livability principles in transportation. According to FHWA, the manual "is intended to be an overview on the importance of livability in transportation, to encourage transportation practitioners to think more broadly about project goals, enlist more partners, and develop more integrated solutions that support community livability."
